Strong ultrasonic signals frighten animal passing within the range. Sound is activated when an animal enters the range of the built-in detector. Animals will then avoid the area because of the unpleasant ultrasonic sound and will not get used to the sound because of the intermittent nature of the signal. The strong flashing light will be activated to bolster the ultrasonic signal and reinforce the noise deterrent effect.
