This Alder Tree cultivar has deeply and finely cut leaves - an important native planting selection. Historically, Alder Wood was traditionally used for the production of clogs in Northern England.

Alnus glutinosa 'Laciniata' Cut Leaved Alder Tree

  • Fast growing deciduous tree with finely cut foliage
  • Useful for windy sites, inc. coastal areas
  • Suitable to grow in any soil (fairly lime tolerant)
  • Can also be grown in a damp position
  • Sun or shade
  • Produces attractive catkins in March
  • Expected height: 35-50ft
