The round, sweet-flavoured fruits have soft, green, juicy flesh when ripe. Best grown in the greenhouse but may succeed in frames or under cloches outdoors.

How to grow:
Plant 90cm/3ft apart in well-cultivated soil and provide support with canes and wires. Water moderately and apply a balanced liquid fertiliser every week.
