How to Plant, Care and Store
- Choose a site with well drained soil which has been previously treated with general purpose fertiliser
- Break up the bulbs into individual cloves and plant 3-5cm (1-2in) deep and 25cm (9in) apart
- Water if conditions become dry
- Garlic needs little attention other than weeding and hoeing to break up the soil
Harvest
- August – September
- Lift when foliage turns yellow
- Allow to dry out before storing in a frost free place
