About Second Earlies

Second early potatoes are usually dug as a follow-on from first earlies to extend the 'new potato' season. If left in the ground a bit longer - can be successful for stroage and use as a maincrop.

Planting Notes

In the south, plant from early March to harvest from mid July. In the north, start planting a bit later, late March/early April.

Plant in well dug soil with plenty of organic matter will improve yields considerably. for the best crops, water regularly, especially during hot dry spells.
